- To grant you access to the private WhatsApp community group
- To display your listing on the public trades directory (only if you opted in)
- To send you news, supplier deals, and community updates by email (only if you gave marketing consent)
- To manage the community and ensure members are verified tradespeople

We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent given at registration. You may withdraw consent at any time by requesting deletion of your data.
5. Data Migration
If you were previously a member of The Trade Counter community on another platform, your data may have been migrated to this system. This is a legitimate transfer between systems operated by The Trade Counter. If you have any concerns, please contact us.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. Your name, trade, county, company name, website, and bio may be displayed publicly on the trades directory if you opted in. Your email, phone number, and address are never displayed publicly.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your data for as long as you are an active member of The Trade Counter community. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove it within 30 days.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw marketing consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at dataprotection.ie.
